It is a portfolio site of a ball-point pen artist, Ohara Kanae.
　

ボールペン(Signo uni-ballを愛用)のみで絵を描きます。たまに水彩も入ります。
主に見えない世界のものたちの姿です。
わたしはわたしのために描くのでも、わたしが描きたいから描くのでもなく
ただ、描かねばならないと、呼吸と同じように手を動かします。

My drowing used by only ball-point pen, sometimes with watercolor.
I draw things in the invisible world.
It is not to draw for me and not because I want to draw.
However, I draw because I have to draw like a breathing.
　

ふっと現れてすぐに飛び去ってしまうもの。
ゆっくりと時間をかけて対話してやっとその姿を見せてくれるもの。
毎日のようにやってきて、早く描いてほしいと催促してくれるもの。

その一瞬ないし永遠の姿を捉え、平面の世界に、3次元の姿で可視化していきます。
描き方は、模様は、部位は、目的は、彼らが教えてくれる。
そして、それらからのメッセージを、わたしはあなたに伝えるているだけなのです。

Things that suddenly appear and disappear soon.
Things that talk slowly over time and finally show off their appearance.
Things that comes around everyday and urges me to draw fast.

I will visualize that moment or eternity in a three-dimensional world.
They will tell me how to draw, patterns, parts, and purpose.
And I just give you a message from them.
　

ずっと探しものを探してきました。自分が探しているものがわからなかった。
それはとてもさみしくて、だけれどあたたかくて、出会いたくてたまらなかった。
実はそれは、気付けなかっただけでほんのすぐ隣にいて、側にいてくれていたものたち。
ただ、気付くまでには確かに、この探しものを探す旅は必要だったんだろうと思います。
それが何故なのかは、わたしの言葉では説明できない代わりに
絵たちがそっと、あるいは爛々と語りかけるはずです。

この世界にきっと、同じ思いを抱えて生きている人はいるのでしょう。
たとえばほら、あなたのように。
だから届けたいと思います、届くといいなと思います。
そして祈ります、どうかあなたの探しものが見つかりますように。

I have been searching for what I have been searching for.
It was very sad, but I was just warm and I couldn’t wait to meet.
In fact, it was next to me that I just did not notice.
However, I think that it was necessary to have a trip to find something before I realize it.
I can not explain why. Instead, my works speaks softly or briskly.

Surely in this world there will be people living with the same thoughts.
For example , like you.
So I want to deliver. I hope it will arrive.
And I pray. Please find what you are looking for.
